Hand-held mechanical tension meter with measuring head as small as possible for limited access space. Only for textile applications!

Material slip is avoided by small flanges on each side of the pin

Special Features

  • The analog display of tension meter DXP shows changing and fluctuating tensions fast and enables an optimal process adjustment
  • Non-rotating ceramic pins permit line speeds up to max. 6000 m/min
  • The ceramic pins have on each side small flanges to guide the thread and to avoid slipping off the ceramic pins
  • Small measuring head width with of only 27 mm for measurements at positions with limited space
  • Length of measuring head approx. 64 mm
  • Roller shifting mechanism ensure easy acquisition of the running material
  • Built-in mounting holes permit fixed installation for continuous tension measurement
  • Turned-up outer finger edges guide the running filament into the roller grooves
  • Special finger support located on the rear side reduces the effort to move the outer roller assembly

SCHMIDT scales are manufactured according to the most stringent quality requirements. Printed scales are not used. Instead, each scale is individually marked for the instrument involved. This ensures highest quality. Our special procedure makes it possible to provide tension meter DXP

ATTACHMENT

Code A – Air Damping

For tension range from 20 – 120 cN up to max. 400 – 5000 cN.
This adjustable mechanical air dashpot is recommended for applications in which great fluctuations of the measured tension occur, as in spooling and winding machines. This assures steady tension readings on scale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Code M – Memory Pointer

For tension range 20 – 120 cN and higher
Retains the highest measured value (PEAK). Available for mechanical tension meters.
